NY LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE – * June’s Meeting Place & New Date *
The New York Engineers Legislative Committee meeting will be held on Monday June 4, 2007 at 6:00pm
at the offices of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 30, located @ 115-06 Myrtle
Avenue Richmond Hill, (Queens) New York 11418.
METROPLOITAN DISTRICT ASSOCIATION
The next meeting of the Metropolitan District Association will be on Wednesday, June 7, 2007, at Jamaica
Hospital Center on the 6th floor at 6:00pm. We need members from all chapters to attend. We will also
discuss the 2008 National Convention, which the MDA will host. Please make every effort to attend.
MONTHLY BULLETIN BUSINESS CARD ADVERTISEMENT
New York Chapter No. 1 has a business advertisement section in their monthly bulletins that is mailed out
to their members. If you are an associate member or active-associated member and would like your
business published in the no fee, please contact the President Joe Shearin @ 212-869-8285, or
mail your business card to the chapter mailbox address. If you know of anyone in business who would like
to have their business card advertised in the bulletin we would be glad to publish their business for a fee of
$150.00 for 10 months of publication.
CHAPTER COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT
We are starting a new year of business; in order for our chapter to grow we need more of our active
members and associate members to be involved and help with the committee’s of the chapter. As
members, the more we stay involved within the chapter, the stronger and more successful our chapter will
become.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
Scholarship committee of New York Chapter No. 1 has NAPE New York Chapter No. 1 scholarship forms
available to its members. Applications due by May 31, 2007. If any member would like an application and
have questions regarding requirements about the scholarships or more information please call Chairman

N. A. P. E. NEW YORK CHAPTER No. 1 – ANNUAL PICNIC
On Saturday June 16, 2007, the day before Father’s Day New York Chapter No. 1 will be hosting
their
Annual Picnic @ Krucker’s Picnic Grounds, 81 Call Hallow Road, Pomona, New York 10970. The day
will consist of recreational games and events for all ages. Menu will consist of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The recipient of the scholarship will be drawn by raffle and announced at the event. For ticket prices and

NY CHAPTER No.1 – ANNUAL GOLF OUTING – September 24, 2007
This year New York Chapter No. 1 will be having their annual golf outing on Monday September 24, 2007
at White Beaches Country Club, Haworth, New Jersey. Come and join friends for a wonderful day of fun,
sport and networking. The day will start with brunch at 10:30am, followed by a twelve o’ clock shotgun.
White Beaches is an exciting place to golf, with a great lunch, cocktail hour and dinner to offer.

ANNUAL PICNIC
SATURDAY June 16, 2007

Everyone is invited to this great event. Come join us for a fun day with family, friends,
and good food! Krucker’s offers softball, horseshoes, ping pong tables and swimming
pools for adults and children. Take a journey around the lake or lounge by the pool,
join in the fun & games. The day festivities start with assorted danish, coffee and tea,
continues with a lunch of Manhattan clam chowder, sausage & peppers & onions, hamburgers
and hotdogs, mussel marinara, iced clams on the half shell, salads, soda, beer,
and iced shrimp with cocktail sauce. Dinner includes oven roasted chicken, sliced steak
sandwiches, corn on the cob and French fried potatoes. Dessert is everyone's favorite
watermelon and ice cream. During the picnic, this year’s Scholarship Award recipient
will be drawn. Tickets are $55.00 for adults and $20.00 for children (3-12). The picnic
committee is accepting donations of $250.00 to defray the cost of prizes and souvenirs.
